5 Favorite Things

Dear Friends, 

It has been WAY too long since I’ve last written and there are so many things in beauty and fashion that I’ve been gushing over lately! The 5 things I have chosen to share about are timeless necessities that I believe every girl needs; I know I do. I couldn’t live without a single item on this list!…..Okay, that was a little dramatic, but seriously: you need these. So keep scrolling to read about why these accessories and products are so near and dear to my heart and how to use/wear them! 

I. VICTORIA’S SECRET ‘SUPERMODEL’ BODY SPRAY 

(Victoria’s Secret: I bought this along with 2 other fragrances with a ‘3 Body Mists for $18’ sale)

Too old for that bright, flowery scent, but too young for the sophisticated fragrance of Chanel No. 5….yep that was me: lost in the sea of glass cases in the department store. Until THIS. No exaggeration, this has changed my life…okay so, again, a tiny bit of exaggeration, but this ‘Supermodel’ body spray by Victoria’s Secret made me feel like Cinderella as her foot fit perfectly into her glass slipper when I first sprayed it and put it on. I never knew a perfume could ‘get me‘; it’s that perfect mix of girly yet subtle and I am not ready to walk out of the door until I’ve adorned myself with a few sprits of this golden aroma. 

II. FOSSIL 

(Fossil: Finley Shoulder Bag, $180 [Sale])

Fossil is one of my all time favorite brands for pretty much everything: watches, wallets, handbags, purses, you name it, they have it. I especially love their purses because they can hold all of my things without the bulk. Fossil is your go-to brand if you’re like me and prefer neutrals over glitter and glam most of the time. However, they do add pops of color to their collections/pieces to spice things up, so really there’s something for every kind of person! And Fossil does an amazing job of being cute AND functional, so if you haven’t bought from this brand yet, I would highly recommend browsing and purchasing something you love!  

III. BIORÉ DEEP CHARCOAL CLEANSER

(Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, pretty much any major retailer, around $5.99)

This face wash makes up 90% of my skincare routine and, let me tell you, it really does the trick. The bottle says to use it twice a day; my personal preference is using it once daily, but whichever person you are- once or twice daily- IT WORKS! After lathering it onto my skin for a few minutes and then washing it off, my pores feel clean and free. While washing, I can really feel the charcoal pulling out the impurities in my pores and after rinsing it leaves this cool sensation on my skin. The best part- it works with any skin type. Whether your skin tends to be oily, dry, or sensitive, I highly recommend this product for everyone. I have used this face wash for years now and it has never failed me, so if you’re looking for something new to add to your skincare routine, Bioré is the way to go!  

IV. AMERICAN EAGLE JEANS

(AE Denim x Highest Waist Jegging in Faded Ways, $59.95)

I only have a few pairs of pants/jeans in my closet that are not from American Eagle and the quality of those are no where near the quality of AE. I would say I have an uncommon body type because I am really small, so finding jeans that fit me was a struggle I had in my early teen years. But once I found American Eagle, I never went back! AE has a huge selection of styles, colors, and fits. My all time favorite is the high-waisted jegging; all my life my pants would fit in the waist but be really baggy around my thighs, but the high-waisted jegging from American Eagle changed the game for me. I now have jeans that fit in the waist AND the legs and everywhere else! AE also does a pretty good job of providing a variety of sizes and lengths, making it wearable for all sorts of body types. Go get you a pair!…or two…..or five…

V. NEUTROGENA MAKE-UP REMOVER CLEANSING TOWLETTES  

(Any major retailer, around $4.99) 

More on the skincare routine! There are lots of makeup wipes and brands out there in the world, but Neutrogena is, again, one of my go-tos. Neutrogena does a pretty great job of naturally working with sensitive skin and when it comes to these makeup wipes, it does all of that and removes all of the makeup on my face (which is very. important). Some girls have this talent of being able to sleep in makeup and the next day wake up and just touch it up a bit before heading out the door, BUT NOT ME, FRIEND. 1. I am a crazy sleeper sometimes, so that wouldn’t even be an option for me and 2. I’m one of those people that needs to feel completely clean before climbing into bed, so these Neutrogena cleansing towelettes are a big part of my nightly routine. I use these every single day and they are phenomenal. If you’re tired of using the liquid stuff from the bottle, having to wash specks of dry tissue off your face after your done, then give these a try!
